Gerry new CEO at Continental Insurance, Nalaka GM National Sales

Gerry Gunadasa (Chartered Insurer) has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Continental Insurance Lanka Limited. A veteran in insurance, he commenced his career with Continental Insurance Lanka Limited in 2010 as the Principal/Specified Officer and Technical Consultant.

With over 45 years of experience in insurance, he worked overseas for 18 years and acquired an extensive wealth of knowledge in the industry. After returning to Sri Lanka in 2002 he joined Asian Alliance Insurance Company as General Manager (Non Life) and in 2005 took up a position with HNB Assurance Limited as General Manager. In 2009 he was hired as Chief Executive Officer of MBSL Insurance. Nalaka Dharmaratne, Assistant General Manager (Personal Lines), has been appointed as General Manager (National Sales). Dharmaratne, with over 28 years of experience, joined Continental Insurance in February 2010 with a wealth of experience in sales in all channels of insurance.

During his short tenure at Continental Insurance, Dharmaratne has been successful in expanding the branch network to 27 branch offices islandwide. With his vision and experience, Continental Insurance is spearheading to cover the entire island with a vibrant and efficient branch network.
