Diploma Course at Wayamba University launched for AIA Wealth Planners

Taking another giant stride towards developing a team which is above the industry standards in professionalism and expertise, AIA Insurance recently launched a Diploma course for AIA Wealth Planners for the first time in Sri Lanka. The inauguration took place when 61 Wealth Planners passed out from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka with a Certificate in insurance recently. These Wealth Planners at AIA Insurance completed the certificate course in Personal Financial Management at the Faculty of Business Studies & Finance at the Wayamba University and received their certificates from Vice Chancellor Prof. S.J.B.A. Jayasekera at a special awarding ceremony. The University conducts the course for AIA Insurance sales professionals to train them on personal financial management including financial planning, tax issues, management of savings and liquid accounts as well as risks and investments. Saving for retirement is a vital module included in the course. The specially-designed Diploma helps the AIA Wealth Planners to improve their knowledge and professionalism and more importantly, to help provide a superior standard of service to their customers. The module was included in the University’s curriculum in response to AIA’s desire to enhance the competencies of the Company’s Wealth Planners.Deputy Chief Executive Upul Wijesinghe congratulated the AIA Wealth Planners who received the certificates and said: “Our partnership with Wayamba University is one of the key elements of our strategic plan in reaching the pre-eminent status we aim for .
