Commemorative coin to mark 75th anniversary of BOC

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has issued a commemorative coin with a face value of Rs. 5 to mark the 75th anniversary of Bank of Ceylon in recognition of its national service. tfj

The issuance of the coin took place at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on 9 July by presenting the coin to President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

This coin will be issued into circulation from today through licensed commercial banks and can be used for payments amongst other currency notes and coins in circulation.
