Chairman and 3 Directors quit BOC Board

Chairman Air Chief Marshal Harsha Abeywickrema and three other Directors have resigned from the Board of Bank of Ceylon. The move is to pave the way for new Finance Minister to make suitable appointments following the change of Government. No replacements have been announced yet. Abeywickrema was appointed BOC Chairman in March last year. The three Directors who also resigned were lawyer Nalini Abeywardene who was reappointed in May 2013 after he first stint starting in May 2010, and similarly Chandrasiri de Silva also a lawyer and Lalith Withana, chartered accountant, who was reappointed in June 2013 whilst his first stint was from 26 May 2004 to December 2005.
