CB releases new book

The Central Bank released its latest educational publication titled ‘Interest Rates The Theory and Practice’ authored by Dr. W.M. Hemachandra, Assistant Governor of the Central Bank.

This book is written to provide a theoretical background to interest rates and present an analysis on practical application of interest rates in the context of Sri Lanka, aiming at a readership of university students, academics, analysts, researchers and policy makers. Additionally, the publication can be used as a hand book containing a complete set of information related to interest rates for GCE (A/L) students and their teachers. The publication will be available for sale in the Central Bank’s Publications sales outlet at Center for Banking Studies, Rajagiriya, and Provincial Offices. Here, Dr. Hemachandra presents the first copy of the book to Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
