AVIVA NDB health insurance wins Silver award at Effie 2012

At the Effie Awards Night 2012 held recently, AVIVA NDB Insurance became the only insurer to win an Effie for the second year in a row. AVIVA NDB received a coveted Silver Effie for health insurance.

The Effie Awards recognise effective marketing communication campaigns and was organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). Receiving a Silver award is a significant achievement, since only one Gold was awarded during the five year history of Effie Awards in Sri Lanka.

Effie Advertising Awards is a global award initiated by the American Marketing Association in 1968 and now held across 40 countries in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The global criteria help to uplift advertising standards to an international level.

Marketing and Bancassurance General Manager Amal Perera, who was present to receive the award, along with the team members who were involved with the communication campaign development and TBWA/TAL, the advertising Agency, said “Winning a globally recognised award for our newly launched AVIVA NDB Health Insurance is an achievement that demonstrates our commitment to ensure our customers understand the product clearly and are able to get the maximum benefit from our health insurance offering.”
