Union Assurance celebrates collective success at National Business Launch 2024

Union Assurance recently marked a night of triumph at its National Business Launch 2024 event held under the theme “Unstoppable Together” at the Shangri-La Colombo. 

The evening was a testament to Union Assurance’s collective ambition and unity, as top-performing advisors were honoured for their dedication to driving the company towards unprecedented heights of success. Recognising their skill, and unwavering dedication to serving valued policyholders, Union Assurance celebrated these individuals and the Agency Distribution channel as key pillars of its success.

Notable accolades of the night included the awards presentation for the Fast Starter competition held earlier this year, with over 170 advisors being recognised for their excellence, where David Thinesh Baskaran emerged as the National winner in the advisor category. 

Additionally, Regional winners were celebrated, with the Wariyapola Region clinching victory in the small to medium category, and the Pettah Region securing the top spot in the large category. In the Fast Starter Zonal awards category, the Northern Zone 1 triumphed in the small category, while the Colombo Central Zone emerged victorious in the medium to large category. 

In addition, Zones and Provinces that achieved 100% of their designated KPIs for 2023 were recognised and rewarded at the event.  The event shone a spotlight on the Union Assurance Premier Club Rewards giveaway for the fourth quarter of 2023, underscoring the company’s steadfast commitment to excellence. The Union Assurance Premier Club stands among the best recognition platforms in the Life Insurance sector, offering exclusive lifestyle rewards such as luxury cars and business development benefits to its esteemed members. Notably, at the event, Gold Members of the club were honoured with Toyota Premio cars, with Chanaka Appuhamy from the Chilaw region emerging as the Union Assurance Premier Champion for 2023, claiming a Mercedes Benz among other prestigious benefits.

General Manager - Agency Jayantha Kumara set the evening’s tone with the welcome address. He emphasised the pivotal role of collective ambition in propelling Union Assurance to greater heights, igniting a sense of shared purpose among attendees. 

Deputy General Manager – Agency Operations Nibasanda Yapa Abeywardana shed light on the exclusive benefits of the rewards and recognition platforms for advisors, including the Union Assurance Premier Club, highlighting how these platforms align seamlessly with the broader vision of cultivating a superior advisor force, underlining Union Assurance’s commitment to empowering its advisors.
