Travis Roche appointed to AMW Capital Leasing and Finance Board

AMW Capital Leasing and Finance PLC has announced the appointment of Travis Roche to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Roche is currently the Director/ Group Chief Financial Officer of the Hitachi Channel Solutions group, which has the headquarters in Sri Lanka and subsidiaries in Philippines, and is the subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. which is a fortune 100 multinational conglomerate company in Japan. He is also the Directory in the two Philippines Subsidiary, Hitachi Channel Solutions Philippines (software development company) and Mega link Ltd. Philippines (payments processing company).

Currently he also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director in the Board of PickMe which is a quoted public company in Colombo Stock Exchange. Further he also was a founder in setting up Global Systems Solutions Ltd. (GSS) which was one time the largest BPO in Sri Lanka hosting over 5,000 employees. Currently he serves as a financial consultant for GSS for the Board of Directors and Senior Management.

He is a Fellow member of the institute of Chartered Accounts of Sri Lanka, Associate Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of UK, Associate Member of the Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and holds an MBA in finance from University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He accounts for 30 years’ experience in the field of finance Where he has experience in the fields of manufacturing, finance sector and information technology. Prior to Joining Hitachi, he was the Accountant at Brandix Lanka Ltd., which is one of the largest garment exporters of Sri Lanka. He accounts for five years’ experience in the auditing sector where he was involved with Ernest & Young Chartered Accountants and has diverse experience in auditing various industry segments mainly manufacturing, insurance, finance and leasing, leisure sector and airlines. He accounts for six years’ experience in the field of public speech and was involved in the CA Sri Lanka toastmasters club for around five years. Further he was also involved in conducting training for the students of the University of Moratuwa on soft skills.

Travis Roche has been a judge in the Toastmasters’ Forum locally as well as internationally.
