Singer Finance launches ESG Roadmap 2030 – “Where Dreams Take Flight”

Singer Finance (Lanka) PLC unveiled its ‘ESG Roadmap 2030 – Where Dreams Take Flight’ outlining a structured and strategic approach to integrating environmental, social, and governance priorities across the organisation. Launched under the theme “Progress Through Purpose,” the roadmap also complements the introduced Singer Group ESG framework.

Held at the Hayleys Group Head Office, the event was attended by senior leadership, including Hayleys PLC Chairman Mohan Pandithage, Hayleys PLC Co-Chairman Dhammika Perera, Singer Finance Chairman Aravinda Perera, Singer Group Group Managing Director Mahesh Wijewardene and Singer Finance CEO Thushan Amarasuriya.

The roadmap reflects the company’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and alignment with group level priorities, national sustainability actions, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the GRI reporting standards, as well as the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s Roadmap for Sustainable Finance. It sets out clear policies and measurable targets, guiding the organisation toward responsible and future-ready growth.

Chairman Aravinda Perera stated: “Where Dreams Take Flight captures our belief that sustainability is a catalyst for progress. This roadmap positions Singer Finance to become a benchmark for ethical and inclusive finance in Sri Lanka.”

CEO Thushan Amarasuriya emphasised operational integration: “Sustainability is essential. We are embedding ESG principles into every layer of the organisation to drive meaningful and measurable impact.”

The roadmap highlights key initiatives which are already underway; green financing, energy-efficient operations, human capital development, community empowerment, and enhanced governance; all of which will be tracked and reported annually until 2030.

Aligned with the Hayleys Group ESG targets, the Singer Group ESG framework, and global sustainability standards, Singer Finance is taking a significant step toward shaping a future where success is defined by the value created for people, communities, and the planet.
