Wealth Trust Securities PLC has appointed Shamalie Jayatunga to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Jayatunga is an accomplished legal professional with extensive expertise in international business law, dispute resolution, and corporate advisory services. She has a proven track record of advising clients on corporate restructuring, public-private partnerships, and high-value transactions across industries. She holds a Master of Laws in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University, where she graduated with distinction and was recognised with multiple academic honours. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Colombo. Professionally, Jayatunga has represented clients in complex litigation and arbitration cases, including intellectual property disputes, shareholder issues, and contract breaches.

Jayatunga is a certified SIMI Level I Mediator, Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (UK) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. She brings a unique blend of legal acumen and strategic business insight to the Board. She presently serves as an independent director on both listed and unlisted companies in Sri Lanka.
