Senthilverl Holdings Ltd., has crossed the 10% shareholding threshold in Lee Hedges PLC following share purchases executed on 19 January.
Senthilverl Holdings acquired over 100,000 shares of Lee Hedges PLC on 19 January at prices ranging between Rs. 247.75 and Rs. 255 per share. As at 16 January, which was the last trading day prior to the transaction, Senthilverl Holdings held 2,481,297 shares in Lee Hedges PLC, representing 9.69% of the company’s issued share capital.
Following the transactions, total shareholding as at 19 January increased to 2,584,777 shares, representing 10.10% of the issued share capital of Lee Hedges PLC.
Lee Hedges PLC has a total issued share capital of 25,602,730 shares. Its share price closed Rs. 1.25 on the up at Rs. 235.50 yesterday.
On Tuesday, Lanka Realty Investments PLC made a Mandatory Offer for Lee Hedges to purchase nearly 7.4 million shares representing a 28.9% stake at Rs. 216 per share.
On 8 January, Eighth Wonder, a company incorporated in Mauritius, acquired 5,148,684 shares of Lee Hedges at a price of Rs. 216 per share, representing 20.1% of the issued share capital. Eighth Wonder was acting in concert with Lanka Realty Investments PLC, in which it is the single largest shareholder with a 29.17% stake. It also holds a 49% stake in Lanka Realty Development Ltd.
Following the transaction, the combined shareholding increased to 18,206,279 shares, representing 71.1% of the total issued shares of Lee Hedges.
