SEC defers trading suspension of Browns Beach Hotels

The Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday has deferred the trading of securities of Browns Beach Hotels PLC until August next year, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

The trading suspension was due to take effect on 1 November.

The securities of the company were twice transferred to the Watch List of the Colombo Stock Exchange on 1 August 2024 and 19 June 2025 due to the emphasis of matter of going concern contained in the Independent Auditor’s Reports for the financial years ended 31 March 2024 and 2025 respectively.

The SEC has granted the trading deferment until 31 August 2026, the stock exchange filing said.
