The Regional Development Bank (RDB) has relocated its Devinuwara branch to a new and more accessible location at No. 74, Tangalle Road, Devinuwara.
This strategic move marks another milestone in RDB’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer convenience and strengthen its presence across the nation. The new premises are designed to provide a modern banking experience, combining comfort, efficiency, and digital accessibility for its valued clientele.
With upgraded facilities and improved infrastructure, the Devinuwara branch is now better equipped to serve a growing customer base. The dedicated team at RDB Devinuwara remains committed to delivering faster, friendlier, and more reliable banking services — ensuring every customer enjoys a seamless financial experience.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of RDB Chairman Lasantha Fernando, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Delivering a special message, Fernando highlighted the importance of expanding financial access for all Sri Lankans and noted that the relocation reflects the bank’s strong commitment to bringing modern banking closer to the people and supporting national development. He further emphasised that through initiatives such as the 15,000 Entrepreneur Development Program and continued branch network expansion, RDB continues to fulfill its role as a true partner in the nation’s progress.
RDB General Manager/CEO Dr. Asanga Thennakoon said: “Our goal is to bring modern banking closer to the people, ensuring that every Sri Lankan, regardless of location, has access to reliable and affordable financial services. The opening ceremony was also graced by Head of Business Operations Dr. G.M.B.C. De Silva, Regional General Manager (Southern Province) P.H. Wijethilaka, District Manager (Matara) Damayanthi Premadasa, and Branch Manager (Devinuwara) Nadeeka Rajapaksha along with the staff and a large gathering of customers and well-wishers.
