“RDB Quiz” competition of RDB Bank

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Regional Development Bank (RDB), Sri Lanka’s premier state-owned development bank, organised the ‘RDB Quiz’ program. This initiative aimed to recognise the dedication of its staff and to enhance their knowledge and skills further.

The program, conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka, began with two initial rounds held online. Out of the staff members from across the island who applied, 140 individuals participated in the first round. From this group, 95 were selected to compete in the second round as district teams.

The winners of the district teams were selected from the teams that performed well and one team from each province was selected and these teams were sent to the third round of the competition.

The third round of the competition was held in the IBSL auditorium on 15 July in a grand ceremony attended by the Chairman, General Manager, Corporate Management, Department Heads, Regional General Managers, Assistant General Managers, District Managers, Chief Managers, Assistant District Managers and Senior Managers in the bank.

On the same day, a special lecture was delivered by renowned speaker Dr. Kishu Gomes. The teams representing the Southern, North Central, and Eastern provinces provided accurate and efficient responses, qualifying for the final round of the competition.
