People’s Bank holds People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2025 – Sanwathsara Pranama Draw

In celebration of its 64th Anniversary, People’s Bank held the ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2025– Sanwathsara Pranama Draw’ on 1 July at the bank’s Head Office in Colombo 02. This is an initiative under the ‘Dolosmahe Vaasi Chakraya’ program.

Accordingly, 64 lucky winners were selected to receive 64 bags of valuable essential goods, each worth Rs. 15,000.

Customers who send foreign Workers’ Remittances to People’s Bank accounts via People’s Remittance from 1 January to 30 June 2025 were eligible to enter the draw.

The event was graced by People’s Bank Chairman Prof. Narada Fernando, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka, Chief Internal Auditor E.A.M. Dissanayake, Head of Marketing Nalaka Wijayawardana, Deputy General Manager – Channel Management Naleen Pathiranage, Deputy General Manager – Commercial Credit and Acting Head of Finance Thushari Hewawasam, Deputy General Manager – Retail Banking and Overseas Customer Services Aruni Liyanagunawardana, Assistant General Manager – Overseas Customer Services Buddhika Ranatungage, Western Province Revenue Department Senior Tax Officer Sriyani Napagoda, and several other senior officials of the bank.

The People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2025 program is launched with the aim of encouraging and appreciating Sri Lankan foreign workers who work tirelessly in lands far away to strengthen the country’s economy and improve the living standards of their families.
