People’s Bank celebrates winners of ‘Ran Kaasi Vaasi’ and ‘Vanitha Pranama’ campaigns

People’s Bank recently held the prize awarding ceremony of the ‘Ran Kaasi Vaasi’ and ‘Vanitha Pranama’ promotional campaigns under the People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2025 – Dolosmahe Vaasi Chakraya program at the bank’s Head Office in Colombo 2. The event was held under the patronage of People’s Bank Chairman, Prof. Narada Fernando, and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager, Clive Fonseka.

During the Ran Kaasi Vaasi program, three individuals who had received the highest value of Worker’s Remittances to People’s Bank accounts in January were each rewarded with a gold coin. Meanwhile, the Vanitha Pranama draw recognised 10 female account holders who received the highest value of Worker’s Remittances to their People’s Bank accounts from 1 January to 31 March 2025, each receiving a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Chairman Prof. Narada Fernando, CEO/General Manager Clive Fonseka, Chief Internal Auditor E.A.M. Dissanayake, Head of Marketing Nalaka Wijayawardana, Deputy General Manager – Channel Management Naleen Pathiranage, Deputy General Manager – Commercial Credit and Acting Head of Finance Thushari Hewawasam, Deputy General Manager – Retail Banking and Overseas Customer Services Aruni Liyanagunawardana, Assistant General Manager – Overseas Customer Services Buddhika Ranatungage, along with Regional Managers, Branch Managers and other bank officials.

The ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2025’ program is launched with the aim of encouraging and appreciating Sri Lankan foreign workers who work tirelessly in lands far away to strengthen the country’s economy and improve the living standards of their families.
