Orient Insurance Ltd., recently strengthened its islandwide presence with the opening of its new state-of-the-art branch office in Badulla, reinforcing the company’s commitment to bringing world-class insurance solutions closer to the doorsteps of customers.
The new branch, located at No. 373, Viharagoda, Passara Road, Badulla, was officially opened in the presence of senior management, staff members, and business partners, marking another important milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion strategy.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Managing Director/CEO Tanuj Edward, highlighted the resilience of the Sri Lankan people during challenging times and acknowledged how the insurance industry came together to support communities affected by the recent flood situation in the country.
He noted that natural disasters serve as an important reminder of the value of financial protection and risk management, and emphasised that one of the key motivations behind establishing the Badulla branch at this crucial time is to bring accessible, world-class insurance protection to the people and businesses in the region.
Edward further stated that Orient Insurance is well positioned to offer customised insurance solutions tailored to the needs of the Badulla community, including coverage for SMEs, small and medium-scale entrepreneurs, motor vehicles, travel, property, personal accident, and other general insurance solutions. “Recent events have once again demonstrated the importance of being protected. Chief Business Officer Rochana Kulatunga stated that the opening of the Badulla branch is aligned with the company’s aggressive growth strategy, noting that Orient Insurance continues to be one of the fastest growing general insurance companies in Sri Lanka.He expressed appreciation to the company’s business partners for their continued support and confidence, emphasising that the new branch will allow Orient Insurance to serve customers and partners in the region more efficiently.
