Nations Trust Bank recently hosted a business forum as part of its “Beyond Ordinary” Nations Business Advisory series, bringing together selected business and private banking

customers for an evening of knowledge-sharing and purpose-driven collaboration in the Southern region. The event was attended by business leaders who were given a platform to exchange ideas, learn about practical market insights, and explore tailored banking solutions that are designed to support recovery and sustained growth in an ever-evolving economic landscape.

The key speaker at the forum, Advocata Institute Chief Executive Officer Dhananath Fernando, led the audience in an insightful knowledge-sharing session on the most recent developments influencing local and global economies, guidance on how businesses could overcome challenges and seize new business opportunities to thrive with sustainable growth, creating value to the country’s economy at large.

The forum also brought attention to Nations Trust Bank’s support towards TrailSL’s Karapitiya Cancer Hospital Project, a historic initiative that supports cancer care in Sri Lanka. Mahela Jayawardena and Nathan Sivagananathan, the co-founders of TrailSL, attended the event, committing to the joint vision of communities and businesses uniting for a greater purpose.

Speaking at the event, Nations Trust Bank Executive Vice President – Commercial Banking Arosha Liyanaarachchi said: “At Nations Trust Bank, we consider ourselves to be a business partner that drives the growth of individuals and communities at large in a sustainable manner, rather than just facilitating banking needs. Businesses need to stay informed, agile, and resilient during a period of transition and recovery. We want to provide our valued customers with impactful market insights, strategic guidance, and tailored solutions that take into account the potential of domestic and global business environments, through such forums. Equally significant, our partnership with TrailSL and the Karapitiya Cancer Hospital project demonstrates our belief that real success is determined by societal well-being.”
