NSB marks the 52nd anniversary with pride

NSB (The National Savings Bank) commemorated its 52nd anniversary with a meaningful celebration held at the NSB Head Office, graced by the esteemed presence of the Chairman Dr. Harasha Cabral PC, Senior Director Dushantha Basnayake, and GM/CEO Shashi Kandambi, senior management and members of Team NSB. The event was a testament to NSB’s rich legacy of service excellence and unwavering commitment to its stakeholders.

The anniversary festivities commenced with solemn religious observances, honoring the diversity and unity of all four religions. The dignitaries present participated in these ceremonies, symbolising NSB’s respect for cultural pluralism and inclusivity.

Following the religious rites, two inspiring speeches were delivered, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings. NSB Chairman Dr. Harsha Cabral, expressed his profound belief in the boundless potential of NSB staff members. Notably, this year’s anniversary celebrations broke with tradition by hosting the main event outside the Head Office, marking the first time it was held in an outstation location. The choice to celebrate in Jaffna was a deliberate one, reflecting NSB’s commitment to reaching out to diverse communities across the nation and fostering greater inclusivity.
