NDB Bank is building on its longstanding partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, through two new initiatives focused on institutional capacity building and women’s economic empowerment.

As part of the collaboration, IFC will provide advisory support to strengthen NDB’s institutional practices and operational resilience, drawing on IFC’s global expertise.

The partnership also includes the launch of the IFC-NDB Women-Led SME (WSME) Skills Development Program. Enhancing NDB’s Banking on Women proposition, the program will equip women entrepreneurs across Sri Lanka with training, mentorship and investment-readiness support to strengthen their businesses, access finance and unlock new growth opportunities.
