NDB Bank proudly hosted an Exporter Forum recently aimed at fostering collaboration and driving economic recovery and growth in Sri Lanka.

The event, held at the Ramada Hotel, brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and exporters to discuss strategies for boosting foreign exchange earnings and supporting the nation’s prosperity.

Helmed under NDB’s ‘Jayagamu Sri Lanka’ platform, which aimed at extending financial and non-financial support to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs), emerging exporters, aspiring entrepreneurs, and enthusiastic innovators in Sri Lanka, the forum strived to empower local businesses and bolster the nation’s economy. The exporter forum and the Bank’s numerous strategic partnerships reaffirmed its role as a catalyst for growth in the export sector.

NDB CEO Kelum Edirisinghe underlined the bank’s dedication to empowering exporters and facilitating their success in the global marketplace. In recognition of the invaluable contributions to the export sector, the bank presented tokens of appreciation to Export Development Board (EDB) Chairman Dr. Kinsgley Bernard, for his insightful speech on “Opportunities for Exporters and the Current Business Environment,” while Inland Revenue Department (IRD) Commissioner Ayesha Ashanthi, was also rewarded for sharing her valuable expertise on “Applicable Tax Systems for Exporters.”

The Exporter Forum provided a platform for NDB to showcase its comprehensive suite of offerings tailored to meet the unique needs of exporters, including financial solutions, strategic guidance, global market connections, and non-financial support services, including its flagship digital offerings, NDB Neos Biz and Neos Corporate, aimed at empowering corporates and SMEs.

As the nation navigates through unprecedented economic challenges, NDB is dedicated to supporting exporters and fostering a resilient and thriving export industry. Together with its clients and partners, NDB strives to unlock opportunities, drive innovation, and contribute to Sri Lanka’s journey towards prosperity.
