Siyapatha Finance PLC has announced the appointment of insurance and healthcare veteran Deepthi Lokuarachchi as an Independent Non-Executive Director, subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Department of Supervision of Non-Bank Financial Institutions Director.
Lokuarachchi is a corporate leader with more than three decades of experience in insurance and healthcare. He retired from executive leadership roles in July 2025, having last served as Group CEO of Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC. Lanka Hospitals was rated the best-performing hospital among six listed hospital companies in Sri Lanka for 2023/2024 by KSeeds Investment Ltd. In 2022, he was named Best Healthcare CEO, Sri Lanka, for the transformation he spearheaded at Lanka Hospitals.
His earlier career includes leadership positions as MD/CEO of HNB Assurance PLC, CEO of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd., and Assistant Managing Director and local Head of Operations at AIG Sri Lanka and Maldives, a subsidiary of the US-based AIG Inc. He also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd.
Lokuarachchi holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Colombo and qualified as an Attorney-at-Law in 1996. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance
Risk Manager.
