ICC Sri Lanka to host exclusive workshop on individual income tax for members

The International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICC Sri Lanka), through its Research, Knowledge Mobilization and Taxation Committee (RKMT), has announced a complimentary workshop on Individual Income Tax (IIT), exclusively for ICC Sri Lanka members.

The event will take place tomorrow, 30 May at the ICC Sri Lanka office in Colombo 03.

The session will commence with opening remarks by ICC Sri Lanka Chairman Shanil Fernando. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Department of Inland Revenue, Sri Lanka Senior Deputy Commissioner Nihal Wijewardana.

Following the presentation, a panel discussion will feature distinguished tax professionals:

Ernst & Young Principal – Tax Velauthapillai Shakthivel
KPMG Principal – Tax and Regulatory Rifka Ziyard
RTA Sri Lanka Managing Partner Saman Srilal

The panel will be moderated by ICC Sri Lanka Chairperson of the RKMT Committee Dr. Nadee Dissanayake.

This interactive session will cover key topics including:

Overview of individual income tax
Recent changes in tax legislation
Tax planning strategies for high-income earners
Common tax deductions and credits

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with tax experts during the Q&A segment.
