Hashindra Silva joins Sampath Bank Board

Sampath Bank has appointed Hashindra Silva to its Board as Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director.

Silva presently serves as an Executive Director of Indra Traders Ltd., Indra Service Park Ltd., Indra Motor Spares Ltd., and Indra Property Development Ltd. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Braybrooke Residential Properties Ltd., and Indra Hotels and Resorts Ltd.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom.

Silva brings experience in strategic planning, business development, commercial negotiations, financial and commercial oversight, stakeholder engagement and the evaluation of new business opportunities. In his role as a director, he has been providing strategic direction and contributing to board-level decision-making across a diversified portfolio of business interests.

He is a member of the Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE), the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) and the Vehicle Importers Association of Sri Lanka (VIASL). He also served as a Committee Member of the Young Directors Forum (YDF) during 2024/2025.
