Accolade at 6th Emerging Asia Insurance Awards in Thailand
HNB General Insurance has secured the prestigious award for ‘Best Customer Oriented Company’ in the General Insurance Category (Sri Lanka) at the 6th Emerging Asia Insurance Awards held in Bangkok.
The recognition stands as a strong testament to the strategic progress HNB General Insurance continues to make through its ongoing transformation journey, shaping a future-ready approach to general insurance in Sri Lanka and beyond.
The Emerging Asia Insurance Awards ceremony is organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to foster excellence and cross-border collaboration across the region’s emerging markets. This year’s recognition carries significant weight, as the evaluation was conducted under a rigorous review process by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) together with an international jury of industry experts.
The award assessment was based on a comprehensive set of performance criteria such as new business premium, risk retention ratio, average number of claims, claim settlement ratio, total claim settlements, and the number of products catering to minority groups. This accolade further highlights the company’s commitment to strengthening customer-centric practices, financial resilience, and inclusive product offerings within the general insurance landscape of Sri Lanka.
