HDFC Bank launches sustainable debit card

HDFC Bank said it has launched a new shopping debit card that promotes sustainability and enhances customer experiences.

The modern card design aligns with HDFC Bank’s green banking vision while offering greater convenience for everyday transactions.

At the official launch, the first Shopping Debit Card with this new development was presented to HDFC Bank Director Dr. Krishantha Pathiraja by HDFC Bank GM/CEO Hemal Lokugeegana, in the presence of senior officials of the bank. As part of the launch, a card was also formally handed over to a valued customer, symbolising the commencement of its availability to the public.

The newly designed Shopping Debit Card enables customers to withdraw cash conveniently through the any ATM network and with the integration with LankaPay, HDFC Shopping debit cardholders can perform transactions at JCB-certified POS terminals, making it a secure, versatile, and sustainable solution for both shopping and everyday banking needs.
