Darshan Perera has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Fintrex Finance PLC.
Perera is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the investment banking and corporate advisory sectors across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the Maldives. He holds professional
qualifications as an Associate of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (1990) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (2002), and is a Passed Finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (1996). His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Colombo (1994) and a Master of Business Administration from the same university (1998).
Perera served at NDB Investment Bank Ltd (NDBIB) for 23 years plus (2001- 2024), including 15 years as the Chief Executive Officer. Over the years, he has contributed significantly towards innovation and introduction of various new products, structures and concepts to the capital market of Sri Lanka.
Perera currently serves as a Consultant Director at CTCLSA Holdings Ltd. (since January 2025) and was recently appointed as an Independent Non- Executive Director of Commercial Bank of Maldives.
Formally, he has held directorships at NDB Capital Ltd., Bangladesh, and NDB Investment Bank Ltd. His previous roles include senior positions at Vanik Incorporation Ltd., Informatics Ltd., and Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, with experience spanning across investment banking, project management, corporate restructuring, financial analysis, marketing and banking operations.
