The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) rang the Opening Bell at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) on 20 August to mark its 96th anniversary. The ceremony recognised EFC’s long-standing contribution to promoting social harmony, productive employment, and labour advocacy in Sri Lanka. The event was attended by EFC Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody, Vice Chairman Sanath Manatunga, and Director General Vajira Ellepola. Representing the CSE were Chairman Dimuthu Abeyesekera, CEO Rajeeva Bandaranaike, and CEO-designate Vindhya Jayasekera.
The ceremony underscored EFC’s enduring partnership with the business community and its continued commitment to advancing sustainable employment practices in Sri Lanka.
