Dushayanta Basnayake new Chairman at Sri Lanka Savings Bank

Dushayanta Basnayake yesterday assumed duties as the new Chairman of Sri Lanka Savings Bank amidst the well wishes of general manager, senior management and staff.

Basnayake has an impressive academic background holding a BSc. (Business Administration) Honours degree from the UK, Master of Laws degree on International Trade from UK and Executive MBA from PIM Sri Lanka. He is a fellow member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is also a fellow member of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka and a certified member of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing. 

Basnayake served as a Managing Director of Sri Lanka’s largest insurance company, Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation and presently holds directorships and chairmanships in several companies.

Sri Lanka Savings Bank said Basnayake’s expertise in private and public sectors will undoubtedly help the bank to navigate the ever challenging landscape, identify new opportunities and effectively respond to the challenges that lie ahead.
