Dulip Samaraweera appointed to LOLC General Insurance Board

Dulip Samaraweera

LOLC General Insurance PLC has appointed Dulip Samaraweera to its Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Samaraweera brings over two decades of experience in the financial services sector, with expertise spanning financial management, strategic planning, process improvement, investments, and acquisitions.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.

He commenced his career in 2004 as an Investment Researcher prior to joining the LOLC Group in 2007 where he gained much experience serving in a variety of positions before taking up a senior management position tasked with the global business expansion of the LOLC Group, primarily in banking and financial services.

Samaraweera currently serves on the Boards of multiple companies within the LOLC Group, covering a diverse portfolio of industries across the Group’s international footprint. He holds board positions in deposit-taking regulated financial institutions, non-deposit taking regulated financial institutions as well as non-financial services companies, and investment holding companies of the LOLC Group.
