Dr. Mohamed Irshad appointed as coordinator of FASL and FinTech courses

Dr. Mohamed Jabir Mohamed Irshad, PhD (Finance) has been appointed as a coordinator of the Fintech Association of Sri Lanka(FASL) and the fintech courses conducted by FASL.

Dr. Irshad is the Director/CEO of Super Acc Solution and Smart Fix Ltd., an accounting and auditing consultancy firm.

FASL is conducting Fintech courses designed by the University of Hong Kong(HKU).

HKU is the territory’s oldest institute of higher learning and also an internationally recognised, research-led, comprehensive university. It has developed its leadership in FinTech. It is ranked first globally for FinTech Regulation Research. 

HKU’s FinTech courses are structured as a series of video lectures, case studies, and assessments. It explores the major areas of FinTech including Money, Payment and Emerging Technologies, Digital Finance and Alternative Finance, FinTech Regulation and RegTech, Data and Security, and the Future of Data Driven Finance, as well as, the core technologies driving FinTech including Blockchain, AI and Big Data. 

FASL is the MoU signed partner of the Fintech Associations in Singapore, The Philippines and Hong Kong.

FASL is the Supporter Institution of the recently held ‘Chain Plus: Asia-Pacific Blockchain New Finance Summit 2019’ in Singapore and a Regional Co-organiser of the ‘Asia Smart App Awards 2018/19’ in Hong Kong.

FASL is a community partner to promote Singapore Fintech Festival(SFF) in November, an annual week-long celebration of FinTech and the largest event of its kind in the world, organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
