The Association of Professional Bankers (APB) of Sri Lanka yesterday announced the appointment of Dilshan Perera, a seasoned banking professional from HSBC, as its President. He was conferred the Presidency by its members at the 37th AGM of APB.
Dilshan Perera brings over two decades of experience in the financial services industry and served as Senior Vice President of APB prior to his new appointment. Currently serving as a senior executive at HSBC, Perera has been instrumental in steering strategic growth, fostering digital innovation, and promoting inclusive banking practices. His appointment marks a significant milestone for APB, as the organization continues to champion professional excellence in Sri Lanka’s banking sector.
Founded in 1988, the Association of Professional Bankers Sri Lanka is a premier institution dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of banking professionals. APB provides a platform for continuous learning, professional development, and thought leadership in the banking arena. Under his leadership, APB aims to strengthen its advocacy, expand its member services, and drive inclusive growth in the banking industry while strengthening international ties with likeminded institutions.
Commenting on his appointment Perera said: “I am deeply honoured to be appointed to the role of President APB.
