Dhanushka Fonseka joins Softlogic Finance as new CEO

Dhanushka Fonseka has been appointed as the new CEO of Softlogic Finance PLC, having joined the company from Mercantile Investments and Finance PLC.

He succeeds Dulcy Ivon Brohier who has resigned.

Fonseka counts over 25 years of leadership experience in finance, lending, marketing, and corporate strategy. He has a strong track record in driving business growth, operational transformation, and financial inclusion within Sri Lanka’s financial services sector.

Before joining Softlogic Finance, he held key roles at Mercantile Investments and Finance PLC, serving as Director (Non-Board) from 2013 and as Chief Operating Officer from 2019. During his tenure, he played a significant role in strengthening the company’s market position and operational performance.

Fonseka has also served as a Director at Fairview Hotels Ltd., and Mercantile Fortunes

Insurance Brokers Ltd. He was an active member of the Finance Houses Association (FHA) Council and served as its Vice President in 2023. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, credit evaluation, client risk management, and regulatory advocacy.
