CMA Professional Development Workshop: ‘How Important Ratings are in a Capital Market’

The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) will conduct a CPD workshop on ‘How Important Ratings are in a Capital Market’ on 7 March (Wednesday) from 5.30pm-7.30pm at the Kingsbury, the Dorchester.

The objective of this seminar is to deliberate on the role and importance of independent credit ratings in capital markets with few case studies.

The presentations on ‘How Important Ratings are in a Capital Market’ will be delivered by Ratings Lanka Ltd CEO Maninda Wickramasinghe. The panel discussion will be held at the end of the presentation. It will be moderated by Candor Group of Companies Group Director Ravi Abeysuriya. The panellists will be Acuity Stockbrokers Ltd Executive Deputy Chairman Deva Ellepola, and NDB Investment Bank CEO Darshan Perera.

The seminar will conclude with a question and answer session where participants will also have an opportunity to discuss practical applications and obtain clarifications.

The seminar is meant for: members of CMA, finance directors, CEOs, CFOs, finance managers, accountants, financial analysts and other accounting and finance professionals and academics.
