CFA Society Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Frontier Research Ltd., has announced a half-day executive learning program titled “Economics in Practice.” The program will be held on Thursday, 12 March, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott Colombo City Centre.
The program aims to help professionals understand economic developments in a practical and structured manner. It will focus on interpreting key economic indicators, assessing fiscal and external sector trends, analysing trade balances, capital flows, and reserve movements to better evaluate Sri Lanka’s economic direction and its impact on business and investment decisions.
The program is tailored for corporate executives and professionals involved in strategic planning, corporate finance, treasury and funding, business development, sourcing, investment analysis, and business strategy. It is also relevant for CFA candidates, and finance professionals seeking applied economic perspectives directly aligned with their roles and organisational responsibilities.
The session will be delivered by Frontier Research’s economics team, comprising Senior Research Lead Arshad Ismail, Research Analysts: Tony Jesuthasan, Tharangi Sumanaweera and Himaru Yatipansalawa who collectively bring extensive experience in macroeconomic research and policy analysis.
CFA Society Sri Lanka CEO Aruna Alwis said: “In today’s changing economic environment, corporate executives need to understand what economic data really means for their organisations. This programme will help executives interpret economic trends clearly and use that knowledge to make better strategic and investment decisions.”
