CFA Society Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Frontier Research, will host an exclusive evening discussion titled “Resilience on the line: Evaluating Sri Lanka’s macro stability amid global shocks” on 9 April 2026 from 5-7 p.m. at Courtyard by Marriott, Colombo City Centre.

This timely discussion is organised as a public program by CFA Society Sri Lanka, bringing together members, business leaders, professionals, and all those interested in understanding Sri Lanka’s macroeconomic outlook.

CFA Society Sri Lanka CE Committee Chairman Rashmika Nissanga said: “Sri Lanka began the year with encouraging macroeconomic momentum, underpinned by rare twin surpluses and improving stability. Yet the recent conflict in the Middle East has introduced a new source of external uncertainty. For a small open economy like Sri Lanka, developments such as oil price shocks, shipping disruptions, weaker global growth, and tighter financial conditions can have significant implications. Through this discussion, we hope to provide participants with a deeper understanding of these risks and the importance of preparedness across a range of possible scenarios.”

The session will feature presentations by Frontier Research’s macroeconomic research team: Chayu Damsinghe, Head of Macroeconomic Advisory; Anjali Hewapathage, Deputy Head of Macroeconomic Research; Arshad Ismail, Senior Research Lead; and Navinda Meepe, Senior Research Lead, followed by an interactive Q&A session with participants.

Through this initiative, CFA Society Sri Lanka reaffirms its commitment to providing relevant, high-quality learning opportunities for members, business leaders, professionals, and all others interested in understanding developments shaping the economy, financial markets, and investment landscape. Those interested in attending the session are invited to visit www.cfasocietysrilanka.org  for further details and registration information.
