CBC Finance unveils new Head Office in Colombo

CBC Finance PLC, a licenced finance company and fully owned subsidiary of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, on 5 October inaugurated its new corporate Head Office at No. 211, Dr. N.M. Perera Mawatha, Colombo 8.

Relocating its primary operations from No. 182, Katugastota Road, Kandy, the institution transitions into Sri Lanka's central commercial corridor to bolster administrative capabilities and anchor its expanding nationwide footprint.

Originally established in 1987 as Indra Finance Ltd., to serve the growing vehicular financing market, the company underwent a major strategic transformation upon its 100% acquisition by Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC in 2014. Rebranded first as Serendib Finance Ltd., and later as CBC Finance PLC, the institution has continually evolved upgrading core banking infrastructures, strengthening capital reserves, and elevating its Fitch credit rating.

The move from Katugastota Road, Kandy to Dr. N.M. Perera Mawatha, Colombo 08, represents a key milestone in this corporate trajectory, aligning executive leadership with Sri Lanka’s principal economic hub while preserving its legacy of regional stability.
