The secondary Bond market extended its downward yield momentum for a fourth consecutive session, with aggressive buying interest driving yields sharply lower across the curve. The pace of the decline accelerated considerably, with steep reductions recorded across key maturities amid sustained demand.
Market sentiment remained supported by the sharp decline in global oil prices, with Brent crude falling towards US$95 per barrel, as the outcome of the US midterm elections and renewed optimism surrounding a potential diplomatic resolution to the US–Iran conflict eased concerns over further supply disruptions and tempered inflationary pressures. The broader easing in global Bond yields, particularly in US Treasuries and Indian government securities, further reinforced the positive sentiment. Market activity and transaction volumes surged, reflecting the strength of buying interest.
