Bank of Ceylon celebrates outstanding achievements at Spirit Awards 2024

In a glorious ceremony held at Hotel Monarch Imperial, Sri Jayewardenepura, Bank of Ceylon honoured its brightest stars at the ‘BOC Spirit Awards 2024’, recognising exceptional performance across its nationwide network of 660 branches and over 8,200 strong workforce. 

The event, graced by the Chairman Kavinda de Zoysa, members of Board of Directors, General Manager/ Chief Executive Officer Russel Fonseka and the bank’s Corporate and Executive management, celebrated 88 award winners who exemplified excellence in branch performance, digital adoption, operational efficiency, and other special segments throughout 2024.

The award ceremony highlighted the bank’s remarkable journey in 2024, a year that saw BOC achieve a record profit of Rs. 106.9 billion while driving financial empowerment across all sectors of society. Winners were selected through a rigorous evaluation process considering performance at national, provincial, and branch grade levels, with their excellence directly contributing to enhanced customer satisfaction and broader economic growth. While celebrating the top performers, the Chairman encouraged all branches to view the ceremony as motivation to reach even greater heights in the coming year.

The ceremony’s carefully planned segments and celebratory tone, made possible by the Board of Directors and the bank’s Corporate Management’s positive outlook and approval, reinforced the bank’s customer-centric values while showcasing how staff achievements directly translate to better banking experiences for customers.
