Asia Pacific Technology Systems (APTS) together with Craft Silicon have partnered to introduce a next-generation Core Banking System to the Sri Lankan market.
This partnership combines APTS’s strong local expertise in delivering innovative technology solutions with Craft Silicon’s globally recognised fintech capabilities, creating a powerful platform tailored to meet the evolving needs of Sri Lanka’s banking and finance sector.
The collaboration was officially launched at an event held on 17 September at Shangri-La Hotel under the theme “Reimaging Banking – The Core Awakens.” The event marked a significant milestone for the country’s digital transformation journey, bringing together leaders from the banking and finance industry, regulators, and technology innovators.
A Core Banking System (CBS) is the central software platform that enables banks and financial institutions to manage their day-to-day operations efficiently. It integrates key banking functions such as account management, deposits, loans, payments, and customer relationship management into a unified system. A modern CBS allows banks to provide seamless, real-time, and customer-centric services across multiple channels, helping institutions improve operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and accelerate digital transformation.
