Amana Bank expands to Balangoda with first SBC in Ratnapura district

Opening of the Balangoda Self Banking Centre by Region 2 Assistant Vice President Azam Ameer

Continuing its commitment towards expanding accessible and convenient banking services across Sri Lanka, Amana Bank recently opened its 46th Self Banking Centre in Balangoda, marking the Bank’s first Self Banking Centre in the Ratnapura District.

Strategically located at No. 321A, Ratnapura Road, Balagahamulla, Balangoda, the newly opened Self Banking Centre offers customers 24/7 access to essential banking facilities including cash withdrawals, cash deposits, and cheque deposits, delivering greater convenience to individuals, businesses, and the wider community in the area.

The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Balangoda Chief Inspector of Police W.D.K.C. Nawarathna, and Balangoda Grand Jummah Masjid Chief ImamAsh Sheikh Rashad Zaman Rahmani, together with community leaders, business representatives, customers, and well-wishers from the area. Representing Amana Bank at the occasion were Region 2 Assistant Vice President Azam Ameer, Ratnapura Branch Manager Azeez Junaideen, and other officials of the Bank.

Speaking at the event, Assistant Vice President Azam Ameer stated, “We are pleased to expand our banking network to Balangoda and establish our first Self Banking Centre in the Ratnapura District. This initiative reflects our commitment to enhancing accessibility and convenience through modern banking solutions while supporting the financial needs of the surrounding community.”

As part of the opening celebrations, Amana Bank also carried out a community engagement initiative by distributing school stationery items to under-privileged primary schools in the area, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment towards social responsibility and community development.
