Alliance Finance to appoint Aruna Rodrigo Executive Director

Alliance Finance Company PLC has appointed Aruna Rodrigo to its Board as an Executive Director with effect from 1 April 2026.

Rodrigo is a seasoned banking and finance professional with over 32 years of industry experience across leading financial institutions in Sri Lanka and the Middle East. His career includes senior roles at Alliance Finance Company PLC, HSBC Bank Middle East, Amlak Finance PJSC (Dubai), Commercial Leasing Company PLC, and Seylan Bank. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Finance Company PLC and has been proposed for appointment as an Executive Director, subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Rodrigo’s professional exposure spans corporate banking, business banking, and SME banking, with extensive experience in credit evaluation, credit administration, portfolio and risk management and branch operations. His functional expertise also includes trade finance, leasing, mortgage and development financing, collections, and operational oversight.

During his tenure as Chief Credit Officer, he was responsible for credit portfolio management and branch operations, contributing to improvements in credit processes and portfolio quality. In his current role, his responsibilities encompass strategic planning, operational efficiency, marketing management, portfolio quality oversight, training and development, and compliance management.

Rodrigo is an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka, holds a Master of Business Administration from Buckinghamshire New University (UK) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
