AB Securitas honoured with Silver at National Business Excellence Awards 2025

AB Securitas, an independent private limited company with over 30 years of experience, has been awarded with the Silver award at the National Business Excellence Awards 2025, under the Large Scale Services category. The award was conferred by the National Chamber of Commerce at an event held at Shangri-La Hotel on 24 July.

The company, which began in 1994, has now grown to an operation encompassing over 4,900 individuals, with employees specialising in delivering comprehensive loss prevention solutions in Static Security, Electronic Security, Cash Management and Cash in Transit Services. Offering innovative, customer-focused, and customised solutions tailored to the specific needs of clients, including banks, corporations, supermarket chains and other specialised entities, AB Securitas has managed to expand its influence across the island, with plans to expand beyond the borders of Sri Lanka, to countries such as Bangladesh and Maldives.

The prowess of the company that is expressed through its motto, “Care beyond Protection” reflects the vision of the company, and how it prevents even the smallest acts of negligence reflecting in a massive impact to the clientele, which includes both national and international banks, which could impact the economy as a whole.

The theme of “Respect for All” is also entrenched within the company as its main ethos, that becomes the driving force behind the recruitment of individuals with disabilities, who have been assigned to various departments. Accordingly, an initiative has been taken to recruit deaf and blind individuals to the cash department and back offices, as well as to recruit a significant number of disabled veterans, in recognition of their service and contribution to the nation.

Such initiatives have also led to ABS being verified with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, while garnering recognition among a number of organisations and entities within the global security industry, such as the Asia Cash Management Association, the ATM Industry Association, Sri Lanka Security Service Providers Association, as well as the Industrial Security Foundation, further cementing the legacy of the ABS as a company that is deserving of the National Business Excellence Award 2025.
