The country’s leading State development bank, RDB Bank, has made an outstanding contribution to the development of the country by providing financial services for a period of 40 years (1985-2025).

Despite the various economic and social crises that have occurred in our country in the past few years, RDB Bank has been sensitive to the difficulties of its customers and has further developed its relationship with its customers through various relief measures.

Similarly, the management of RDB Bank expressed its views on the services and facilities that RDB Bank plans to provide to its customers in the year 2026.

“In the year 2026, RDB Bank has made all the plans to further enhance the quality of its services and provide a number of banking services to both urban and rural people for the convenience of its customers.”

In 2026, we will prioritise the development of SMEs and entrepreneurs and, as the leading state development bank in Sri Lanka, we will expand the provision of simple and advantageous direct financial credit facilities to the entrepreneurial communities to enhance their social and economic status. Our primary objective is to contribute to the development of the rural economy as well as the Sri Lankan economy.

Furthermore, we are working to uplift small and medium-sized entrepreneurs across the country by providing direct financial loans at special concessional interest rates to them.

In addition, we have also planned to introduce a new account for Youth in 2026 with digital facilities that suit their aspirations and aspirations. RDB also intends to introduce a quick loan facility called “RDB Speed Cash” against both registered and unregistered motor vehicles starting from January 2026. This facility aims to provide customers with faster access to financing and promoting greater financial inclusion.

To enhance customer convenience and ensure seamless communication, the bank will introduce the dedicated “1985” hotline. This service will provide customers with quick, reliable, and easy access to banking assistance, inquiries, and support, strengthening customer engagement and improving overall service efficiency and satisfaction.
