Marvel’s latest blockbuster The Avengers in cinemas next Friday

Sequel to its ground breaking effort of showing Battleship last month, Liberty Lands and Development is bringing down another blockbuster the Marvel’s The Avengers providing Lankan movie goers an opportunity ahead of some of the other countries.

The Avengers will be released at Savoy Cinema, Majestic – Superior 3D and Chaya Kegalle next Friday, a spokesman for Liberty Lands and Development which is importing the movie said.

The Avengers is a 2012 American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures,1 based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the sixth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was scripted and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and Samuel L. Jackson. In the movie Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. brings together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki and his army. The Avengers premiered on April 11, 2012, at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 4, 2012. The film has received very positive reviews from critics, and has grossed approximately $260.5 million worldwide.
