After two years since her last performance at Nelum Pokuna, Kishani Jayasinghe-Wijeyasekara returns to Sri Lanka for yet another charity driven concert which is scheduled to take place at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on Thursday 09th January 2014. Kishani can be considered as an all rounder as she actively participated in sports, music and charitable event during her schooldays. Prior to taking up opera she practiced international commercial law for four years. In 2006 debuting at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, UK as Chloe – The Queen of Spades paved the path to her professional journey as a Soprano. Ever since, Kishani has added numerous operas and concerts in to her repertoire including performances in Europe and USA. Though she hates to be away from family and home during tours Kishani enjoys the incredible travel experience as she meets people from various regions. She also loves the kick of adrenaline during her performances and adores the stunning stage attire. According to Kishani her source of strength is her incredibly supportive and loving family, who is always there for her.
