‘Benku Ridma 2015’ Inter Bank Talent Show on 26 April

  ‘Benku Ridma 2015’ – Inter Bank Talent Show organised by the Association of Professional Bankers (APB Sri Lanka) will be kicked off with much pomp and pageantry on Sunday 26 April at 6:30 p.m. at the Bishop’s College Auditorium, Colombo 02. Benku Ridma 2015 will feature a collection of vocal and dancing items presented by over 70 bankers representing various banks operating in Sri Lanka, with the aim of fostering fellowship and promoting brotherhood amongst the banker community. The talent show is to attract over 700 members of the banking community, families and well-wishers, whilst several Chairpersons, Managing Directors and CEOs of banks are expected to be present at this momentous occasion. Commenting on this flagship event, APB Sri Lanka President Deepal Abeysekera had this to say. “Established in 1988, the Association of Professional Bankers has been foremost organisation of banking professionals facilitating and encouraging professionalism and integrity among the banker fraternity, positively influencing standards, best practices and good governance within the banking industry.” “We hope to bring out the hidden talents of our members through arts and aesthetics in order to help them escape from their busy lifestyles and relax minds a bit. As our bodies and minds are always susceptible to the pressures of everyday life, we believe that busy banking professional needs to take time off to relax and relieve their stress.” “From a professional viewpoint, this will undoubtedly help to increase mutual understanding and cordiality amongst bankers sharing our knowledge and talents with each others, all the while,” noted Abeysekara. The Council member of the Association of Professional Bankers made elaborate arrangements to set stage for this first ever display of artistic talents of the bankers.
