Ever shared a naked picture? The Grassrooted Trust presents V Day from The Cloud

The Grassrooted Trust will perform its highly-acclaimed series of monologues and skits under the theme – V Day – From The Cloud at the Aesthetic Resort in Colombo 7 on Friday 26 February.   

V Day From The Cloud was initially performed in partnership with the Fairway Galle Literary Festival 2016, and travelled to Kandy, Galle and Jaffna, where the show received a great deal of interested and positive feedback from audiences.

The show explores the motivations and angst around cyber exploitation and violence. Listen to parents, educators, perpetrators and victims, and also those on the outside looking in who are trying to make sense of this phenomena.

“The scripts are based on our work on cyber exploitation, as part of the National Task Force on Cyber Exploitation and Violence set up by the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA),” says Director of the Grassrooted Trust, Hans Billimoria. “After the GLF we received many requests to bring the show to the Colombo audience as well and that is what we are doing now.” 

The show is rated 18+ for adults only, and stars Danu, Bhoomi, Anuruddha, Chitranga, Dharini, Jehan, Dominic, Pia, Hemasiri Liyanage, W Jayasiri, Sahini, Vinod, Viranthi, Shanaka, Uda and Ravin.  

V Day – From The Cloud will take place on Friday 26 February at 6:30 p.m. at the Western Province Aesthetic Resort. Tickets are priced at Rs. 500 and will be available at the venue.
