LAUGFS Petroleum powers Bathiya and Santhush ‘Upclose & Personal’ musical extravaganza

LAUGFS Petroleum announced the hosting of ‘Upclose & Personal’, a musical extravaganza led by the renowned musical duo Bathiya and Santhush. The event, which will also feature Umaria, Randhir and Ashanthi, will be held on Friday 7 October from 6 p.m. onwards at the Musaeus College Auditorium.

The musical evening is an initiative organised by LAUGFS Petroleum as part of its annual fund raising project for its Staff Welfare Fund. This year’s event is also supported and held in collaboration with Hiru FM, ATOM Media, LetMeKnow.lk, Sign-Tech Advertising, Reliance Network, HNB, AB Securitas, Janashakthi Insurance, SMS Holdings and NTB Bank.

“We are excited to present ‘Upclose & Personal’, led by the much loved musical duo, Bathiya and Santhush, who will be enthralling us with some of their best loved hits over the years in support of our fund raising project for the LAUGFS Staff Welfare Fund,” remarked LAUGFS Petroleum Chief Executive Officer Mahesh Weerasena, commenting on the initiative. 

“Currently we employ over 150 staff across our fuel stations, which operate 24 hours, scattered across the country. As a company with a strong customer focus, we firmly believe that we need to focus on the needs of both our customers and employees, in order to deliver an exceptional level of service across all our operations. Our Staff Welfare Committee plays an important role in our efforts to support and engage with our employees and their families, and these musical events have become part of our annual fund-raising events calendar.”

The Bathiya and Santhush ‘Upclose & Personal’ event this year is expected to draw in a large crowd of music enthusiasts of all ages from across the LAUGFS group as well as the general public. The proceeds from ticket sales will be allocated to support a number of employee welfare initiatives planned for the year.
