The De Lanerolle Brothers herald in the season with ‘Can’t Wait for Christmas’

Ushering in the season, The De Lanerolle Brothers hosted their annual Christmas concert this time hosting something out of the box with four performances on the same day to the delight of audiences at the Hilton Colombo on 30 November. 

This year’s performance aptly titled ‘The De Lanerolle Brothers Concert – Can’t Wait for Christmas’ was the perfect way to kickstart the season as the sibling singing sensation livened spirits with their well-known Christmas repertoire and some other timeless classics to show people have not missed much even though everyone experienced a lockdown period. 

The much-awaited concert will be telecast on 24 December from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dialog TV Channel One and also on the Dialog ViU mobile app.

Sponsored by Dialog Axiata PLC, the event adhered to strict health and safety guidelines under the supervision of the relevant authorities amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Warming heartstrings amidst the chilly Christmas season, Rohan and Ishan De Lanerolle serenaded the intimate gatherings at the Hilton, Colombo with Christmas classics including ‘Long Time Ago in Bethlehem,’ ‘Silent Night,’ ‘Away in a Manger,’ ‘O Holy Night’ and ‘Let It Snow’ while also sneaking in a few crowd favourites that highlight their powerful harmonies including ‘Unchained Melody’ by the Righteous Brothers, which was a highlight.
